The City of Cerritos is committed to protecting the environment, improving residents' quality of life, and promoting sustainability. To fulfill this commitment, the City established a Green Cerritos program to provide information and resources to encourage the development of a green environment comprised of green buildings and landscaping in Cerritos. Additionally, the City provides various rebates and incentives for residential, commercial, and industrial improvements, and has taken significant efforts in preserving and conserving trees and landscaping, establishing a comprehensive recycled water program, and reducing the consumption of natural resources in Cerritos, including water conservation.
