Cerritos residents are invited to submit their application for consideration to serve on the City’s various Boards, Commissions, and Committees (BCCs). Members are appointed by the Cerritos City Council and provide guidance on various matters ranging from the selection and placement of public art installations to technical urban regional planning matters.

Eligible individuals will serve two-year terms through the last day of the month in which the Mayor is selected (April 30, 2027).

Boards, Commissions, and Committees include the following:

Fine Arts and Historical Commission
Parks and Recreation Commission
Planning Commission
Property Preservation Commission
Let Freedom Ring Committee
Community Safety Committee

To be considered for an appointment to a BCC, applications must be submitted online or in person at the Office of the City Clerk. Learn more about each BCC function, eligibility requirements, and complete the online application at cerritos.gov/boards.
